Granada vs Mallorca Preview

Two sides promoted from the Segunda Division last season clash here as Granada played host to Mallorca. So far Granada that have adapted more quickly to life at this level but it always can be difficult to Balearic Islands following back-to-back promotions. They really struggled to pick up results on the road, but they still remain outside the relegation zone heading into the new year.

In the case of tabular though, both sides lingering in the bottom three with a return of Granada of 4 points from their last eight games, one shy return of Mallorca. This is not exactly panic stations for Diego Martinez's side but a 3-0 defeat at Eibar last time out was not a good way to end the year once and losing here would leave them looking over their shoulders with just a touch.

Mallorca record just one point from eight league games to go so far despite showing Granada remains to be seen as a clear favorite here though. What might be a concern for Mallorca fans is that they have started to lose a home game with Betis and Sevilla also second win at Son Moix in recent weeks made it all the more important that they get something out of this one.

Many injuries have played their role in Granada decline in form and they will hope to have some players back here even though they will be missing the suspended Maxime Gonalons. As for Mallorca, they have to approach this game without top scorer Ante Budimir were suspended, and the same goes for Iddrisu Baba.
