Hertha Berlin vs Paderborn Betting Tips
When Hertha Berlin fans watch their team battle to a 2-2 draw away to Bayern Munich on the opening day of the season, you could forgive them for thinking they are in with a great chance improve on last season mid-table anonymity.
However, it's been all downhill since then. They followed that with a 3-0 loss at home to Wolfsburg crush and two more defeats have followed since, leaving Die Alte Dame bottom of the Bundesliga table with just one point to their name.
The hosts are not the only team languishing on one point though. Paderborn opponent, recently promoted from the 2. Bundesliga, also find themselves with one draw and three defeats to look back.
That being said, Paderborn have shown a little more promise in their first match. Admittedly they were at the end thrashing against Schalke last time, but in general they have done more than one difficult opening run of fixtures, including a draw at Wolfsburg and a narrow defeat at Bayer Leverkusen.
Newly promoted side certainly had their defensive mistakes, but they face Hertha Berlin side who only scored one goal in their last three games. Simply put, the host simply does not look like they have the attacking quality to really put Paderborn defense to the sword, and they have their own problems to worry about defense, too.
Hertha Berlin have conceded 10 goals in their four events so far, and Paderborn has actually scored five times himself. Not only that, but the hosts have won just three of their last 15 home matches in the Bundesliga, so we thought supporting a Paderborn Win or Draw double chance Saturday looks a great value bet.
We have already discussed the issues of defense of both teams, and we do not expect any of them to manage a clean sheet here. It should be a tight game, and after a 1-1 draw with Wolfsburg Paderborn before the international break we think a repeat of that scoreline in the cards.
