Egyptian Form & Team News

Egypt suffered a previous international outing which Nigeria lost 1-0. They were left behind after only 10 seconds of play and despite creating a number of opportunities, they could not find their way back to the contest.

Pharaoh is preparing to host the entire continent in the 2019 African Cup and is considered one of the favorites for the title. Javier Aguirre's men usually did their best work in front of their fans after winning their last three home matches, scoring 13 goals in that match.

The Egyptians will be without Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, who was given an additional leave after leading the Reds to the glory of the UEFA Champions League. Although Salah did not exist, they still had enough quality to defeat Tanzania with Mahmoud 'Trezeguet' Hassan and Marwan Mohsen expected to start in the attack.

Tanzania Form & Team News

Tanzania's last international outing was a 3-0 win over Uganda in the Africa Cup qualifier which confirmed their participation in the tournament. Simon Msuva opened the scoring on 21 minutes while Erasto Nyoni and Aggrey Morris added further goals in the second half.

The Taifa star will return to AFCON after missing 38 years and will face Egypt in the only warm-up match before the tournament. Emmanuel Amuneke's men are not good travelers because they failed to secure victory in their last six away matches.

Tanzania also struggled in attack and were without goals in their last three away games. Mbwana Samatta often leads the line for Tanzania but is a goalless striker in his last four away matches.
