Kick-off @ 14:00 UK/ 15:00 CET
Venue: Qatar.

TEAM NEWS:

Mali will hope midfielder Bintou Koite, who lost victory against Ghana due to injury after starring in the opener, will be fit in time for the important match against Algeria.

The midfielder, who was influential while playing on the pitch against Cameroon, didn't really miss Ghana. However, Coach Houssein wanted to have a full complement of his team to show off the best XI when they tried to qualify from the group stage for the first time.

Coach Radia Fertoul, who has an injured squad, will be expected to give the squad members who have not appeared in the tournament.

Before the match against Cameroon, Fertoul revealed his team was defective for the match because they had lost three key players and that was reflected in the results of the match.

Algeria vs Mali Head to head (h2h)

Of their five meetings, Algeria managed to keep two cleanups while Mali only managed one.
Mali made it from the top just once, winning the match 3-0.

Prediction of Algeria vs Mali

The Algerian side are more likely to win at the end of ninety minutes when they face Mali on Sunday. The Mali team is unlikely to cause problems for the Algerian team who currently boast an unbeaten five-match streak and can also see the latter surrender their second straight defeat.

Algerian forward Baghdad, Bounedjah is a threat that must be watched out, after finding the back of the net in three of his last four matches. He will certainly be a threat to the Mali defense, who have only managed one clean sheet in their last three away matches. The Mali side must also be careful of fast winger Riyad Mahrez who is very fast in the counterattack.

Algeria's defense must be equally wary of Mali's attacking power when the latter controls the ball. After entering five goals in their last three matches, the Mali side is sure to ask a few questions in third place, at the other end, for ninety minutes.

Even so, with the Algerian side looking healthier, both in attack and defense, the game almost certainly saw Algeria win against Mali at the end of the final whistle.
