SAM QUERREY
Sam Querrey made it to the final at Eastbourne International last week and continued to form grass in an extraordinary victory over fifth seed Dominic Thiem on Tuesday.
The American reached the Wimbledon semifinals in 2017 after three consecutive five-set matches, including a 16-round win over Kevin Anderson and a quarter-final victory over Andy Murray.
Querrey has grown from the second round of Wimbledon every year since 2016 and he will be a favorite against Andrey Rublev here.
ANDREY RUBLEV
Russian Andrey Rublev defeated Cristian Garin in four sets on Monday to hold the first meeting with Sam Querrey who played well.
The 21-year-old Rublev had a decent year with an 8-7 record to appear in the quarter-finals at Marseille and a satisfying clay court season.
The win here will make Andrey Rublev surpass his record at Wimbledon in one stage after he came out in 2017 in a five-set match with Albert Ramos-Vinolas.
PREDICTION
Sam Querrey beat Dominic Thiem in four sets on Tuesday and seems to be underestimated by experts and opponents year after year, especially at Wimbledon. America has shown itself to be more than a big serve, although 22 aces against Thiem are not wrong, with a very good defense. His 4/4 break over Thiem shows the player in clinical form, and he must beat Andrey Rublev here on his way to at least the 16th stage.
Sam Querrey vs. Andrey Rublev: Betting Preview & Tips
Andrey Rublev looked upset in the first half against Christian Garin. The South American player might not be a good grass player, but we managed to get a golden idea about the shape of Russia. And Rublev seems to have been motivated to have some good matches at Wimbledon this season.
Querrey is a favorite here and after good tennis he showed last week against Dominic Thiem here, I hope he wins. Still, Rublev can cause problems on a fast surface that's why I believe that more than playing is a good bet. I did not expect a brief clash
Betting odds
