Novak Djokovic: results and record
There is currently no world. 1 Djokovic advanced to the third round after beating Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-3 7-5 6-3 and Denis Kudla 6-3 6-2 6-2.
The best result of the season was winning the title in Melbourne where he beat Rafael Nadal in the final 6-3 6-2 6-3 and in Madrid where he defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final 6-3 6-4.
Djokovic has a 30-6 win-loss record in 2019, 2-0.
Last year at Wimbledon
Novak beat the title last year at Wimbledon after beating Kevin Anderson 6-2 6-2 7-63.
Hubert Hurkacz: results and record
Ranking no. 48, Hurkacz advanced to the third round after beating Dusan Lajovic 6-3 4-6 6-4 6-4 and Leonardo Mayer 6-74 6-1 7-67 6-3.
Hurkacz's best results this year are reaching the final in the Canberra Challenger.
Hubert has a winning record of 26-17 in 2019, 4-2
Last year at Wimbledon
The pole lost in the first round 6-4 6-2 7-62 from Bernard Tomic.
Hurkacz may not be the most natural grass maker, but so far he has shown at the All England Club that he can be dangerous on any surface. The problem for Pole in the third round was that he found himself dealing with one of the best grass couriers in the game. Djokovic's ability to spread to the field and his extraordinary return will certainly be too heavy for Hurkacz to compete, even though he has the quality to give the Serbian great player the first real test.
PREDICTION
Hubert Hurkacz can be very happy with his performance so far at Wimbledon because this is the most successful Grand Slam to date. However, Novak Djokovic is in imperial condition without really needing to increase full speed and has sent his first two opponents with relative comfort. Hurkacz lost to the Serb at Roland-Garros last month, and his trip must end here again against the world number one, who has no plans to drop a set for several more rounds.
