TEAM NEWS

JAMAICA

Jamaica advanced to the CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinals in 2019 with a narrow victory over Panama and are now only one game away from their third consecutive appearance with the United States blocking them.
In a tight match, extra time seemed to be going on, but Jamaica was given the opportunity to move forward from the penalty spot in the 75th minute and substitute Darren Mattocks should have sent his team through.
Jamaica has changed their team throughout the tournament and while they have to start playing a more established side, it won't be surprising to see at least a few more changes with lots to depend on if they line up with 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1 system .

United States of America

The United States was massively below standard and might consider themselves fortunate to have advanced to the Gold Cup semi-final after having an affair with Curacao where they were arguably in competition.
Weston McKennie scored the only goal of the match in the 25th minute but Curacao proved more of a challenge than the United States expected and they were almost made to pay for a lackluster effort.
A poor performance in the quarter-finals could cause coach Gregg Berhalter to make changes to his team as he tried to guide his team to the final with something less than that considered a failure.

Jamaica vs. US: Head to Head

The last time countries met only last month in a friendly match won by Jamaica 1-0.

The last time the nation played a competitive game was in 2017 when the US won 2-1.

Of the 26 matches played between Jamaican countries only have 3 wins.

Jamaica vs. US: Prediction

Our bet here is to support the US. Jamaica has done very well to achieve so far but they seem to be a bit negative and we can imagine that America will have more balls and have more attacks because of this. They all play round and can survive too.

The US will play on the most important day of the country's history at home on a sold-out day to reach the final and they must be able to do so as long as they remain professional. There was a time when the US struggled to defeat Jamaica and indeed had been knocked out of the Gold Cup in the past by them, but at that time it seemed to have moved.

Jamaica vs. USA: Betting Tips

US beats Jamaica at 1.50 (1/2)
Scorer at any time: Weston McKennie (US) at 4.00 (1/3).
